Road Relay

The day i feared most arrived today. A few days ago i was intimidated by the class one runners. I didn't think we'd stand a chance, but i never lost hope upon us. Okay, so maybe i did... But, i still convinced the rest to aim for first.

So today was the Interhouse Road Relay. My teammates for class one were Nadine, Shevie and Sherlin. We were great at the starting, but before it reached my turn, we slowed down. This is my first time i've ran for the interhouse road relay.

I'd like to thank the class 3 and class 2 girls for cheering me on at the ending and pushing me with those words. I wouldn't have made it without your help. To my teammates for giving it your all and never giving up. To the people who carried me because i couldn't stand and helped me all the way, thanks. I don't know how i can repay you guys.

We ARE the world.

Hello people! Today is the audition for SriKL's charity dinner and SriKL's Leo I.U. day. I was supposed to audition, but i changed my mind for various reasons.

1. I'm anti-social.
2. After performing on that specific occasion, i'll no doubt end up lonely.
3. Noone ever likes what i sing.
4. I am hated and not going to make myself get hated more.
5. It's an occasion with food, if i sing, a food fight may occur.

Wanted to go "We Are The World" since it'll totally fit into the charity thing where we save people's lives. Sorry to those who wanted me to audition, i've once again let you down.

5'51"52

So today was the lake qualifying round and the time limit for class one girls was 7'00"00. I ran continuously without stopping and strided all the way. Not to mention the gasping for air too.

When i ran, there was not a thought in my mind except for the time limit and my speed. I was worried about the time constraint and at the last quarter of the lake, i started sprinting. I was waiting for the right moment to sprint, all the energy that i've saved was meant to be for my sprint. Atleast 300 metres away from the finishing line.

When i was at the last turning, the crowd was silent, i thought the whistle had blown off. I thought, till i saw Theng Seng jumping up and down. That i knew, there was still time, i increased speed just like how my master had taught me last year. With the swinging and choppings i made it. My legs were obviously worn out, and that's when Mr. Nathan said, "Congratulations, girl. You came in first." In my mind, i was furious yet surprised.

Furious because i sprinted and had loads of time left and killed my legs, and surprised that i got first. Though, not really surprising as there're really no runners in class one. But there're two runners who should've overtaken me due to long legs and them being in long distance. When i stepped pass the finish line, all eyes were on me, they were surprised. In their mind was probably, "Do my eyes deceive me? Is that Steffi? Steffi, First?!" If it'll be of any help, my time, 5'51"52.

Anyways, i'm off. My legs are killing me.

Yo, wasssuuuup?!

Yo, wasssuuuup?! Ahaha, my new catch phrase and noone can say it like i do! Okay, i just noticed as days go by, i'm starting to get lamer and lamer every single day.

Really sorry for not updating for so long. I'm updating today to tell you about Yellow House's lake run tomorrow. It looks like it's confirmed that i REALLY am running for class one. Firstly, i'd like to apologize to these people. Su-Yiin, Mandy and Theng Seng, eventhough none of you read my blog. Su-Yiin, i'm sorry that i don't get to run with you tomorrow, eventhough we've been talking about it for a month. I wanted to push you and i wanted to be pushed, i know you can qualify with or without my company. Mandy, i'm sorry bout not running with you in events to beat the one with the retarded face. Wanted to see how fast you ran, looks like now i can. Theng Seng, sorry for making you run around the whole school getting people to go to class one while i thought about staying in class two or moving to class one. Atleast you got your runners now.

So, tomorrow's my target is to get top four, since Theng Seng is putting high hopes on me and i'm getting free excel if i do as motivation from Q Penn and Ai Lin. Wish me luck people, and good luck to all Yellow House members. I hope all shall qualify so that we can earn more points.

Game Over!

Today was our last match for the whole MSSD thing. Win or lose, it's our last match due to we lost the other match. This time our match was again Seri Cahaya. We beat them but we could have done better. Our match was at one and when we reached there SSC was already waiting for us. The weather was very unexpecting, it was cool with some breeze. The sun was covered too, lucky us.

The score was SriKL, 12; SSC 6. We could've done better, we got the ball most of the time. It's just because of our shootings and layups. I got the ball most of the time and i had plenty of opportunity to score but i missed. I managed to shoot one though. It was unbelievable and Ruwen said something which caught everyone's attention and they started laughing.

Ruwen: I saw that!

Oh, i forgot to mention something! This time, i got a place to sit! I sat by the window next to Mandy. So when we got on the van, i accidentally fell asleep. So while the van was moving, i slept on Mandy's shoulder by ACCIDENT. They started making a big fuss outta it.

Oh, Mandy! Well you came and you gave without taking, but i sent you away.
Thanks for the shoulder, Mandy.

After the game, on the way back to school, we decided to have our lunch since we haven't eaten anything. What better place to have lunch at then Salmon Steak? Okay, maybe there's McDonald's, but then Salmon Steak is cheap. Their dishes are at RM5 with a free drink but only from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Middle School Band Festival

Today selected band members went to a band festival in International School Kuala Lumpur (ISKL). This band festival consist of bands from other schools all combined together to form a bigger band. They are splitted to two categories, the Beginner (also known as Junior) and Advanced (also known as Senior). Each categories have a colour to classify themselves too. The Juniors have to wear something Green to represent them whereas the Seniors have to wear Blue.

We had to reach school by 7.30 in the morning, and as usual i followed Malini (Mal) and we reached there at 6.45 a.m because the roads were empty as today is a public holiday. It's really really early than the time given to reach to school, but hey i like being early. Anyways, everything was dark, and the carpark seemed so empty.

The guards open the gate for us and Mal's mom stopped infront of the Secondary porch and we waited as we were the first to arrive. This scene seems to be a replica of last year. While waiting we were talking and i said that the guards must think we're some kind of weirdos to come to school this early during a public holiday on a Saturday and we're not even working here (exact same thing like last year). We had a good laugh about it and then Zhoe June (June) soon arrive, just like last year. Then June's dad and Mal's mom talked, just like last year, while the three excos (June, Mal and I) talked about band stuffs.

Mr. Lim and Cik Umi, our teacher advisors soon arrived and they unlocked the band room. I went to look for my clarinet, but it seems that Mr. Chong, our band instructor has taken it as he thought it was one of the instruments that needed repairing. So Mr. Lim called him but he said he won't be going cause he was busy. So it looks like i won't be performing this year. Then i helped everyone shift the instruments and stands from the band room to Mr. Lim's car, just like last year. Later when everyone arrived i gotta help Mr. Lim shift all the members to the van, just like last year.

So we all sat in the van while Mr. Lim, Cik Umi and Boon Hua travelled in Mr. Lim's perodua with the instruments. Too bad for Boon Hua, he missed all the fun in the van. Anyways, i took the opportunity to sit in the boot this time. The boot is far more spacious and of course the best place to come up with mischieve and camwhore.

See, the boot is a nice place. The green car there is Mr. Lim's perodua.

We reached ISKL at 7.30 a.m. and gathered at the theater. Man, their school is big but not as big as Mont Kiara International School (MKISKL). Those two schools are way bigger than Sri KL and they seem much more spacious than Sri KL. I betcha' they're more systematic than Sri KL too. They have so many different activities and subjects. Okay, i better stop before Sri KL decides to sue me and people start asking me what do i have against Sri KL.

There's something good about Sri KL though. Who ever thought Sri KL was cheapskate in selling food, never went to International schools, especially this one. It's really expensive, to get a decent meal is RM4 and you're not even full. Since me and Boon Hua weren't performing, we walked around the school. But we never fail to walk back to the cafeteria and use our beloved money on food. It's really addictive and me and Boon Hua started complaining on how we spent so much money and we can't stop and it wasn't nice compared to MKISKL. I kept telling Boon Hua they put nicotine in the food and soon he started to agree.

Steffi: They put nicotine in it, i tell ya!

Look at the last kid on the right. That cool instrument is called the Sousaphone.

They are to train and perfect their selected songs and practice in their own sections for the concert at the end of the day. There will be a rehearsal an hour before the concert, then they'll take a rest and then prepare for the concert whom parents are invited to watch. This time the concert started at 5.00 p.m., thank God i have Boon Hua to keep me company from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Junior concert.

The juniors played "The Curse Of Tutankhamen", "The Great Escape" and "The Ring Of Fire". Whereas the seniors played "Convergence", "First Suite In Eb" and "Cartoon Symphony". Cartoon Symphony is the best song in my opinion since it's a medley which consist of The Flintstones, The Simpsons, The Jetsons, The Pink Panther and other cartoons which i've never heard off. I'm a cartoon person. Overall the seniors and juniors played well today.

Senior concert.

On the way back, we did some stupid stuffs like taking a video of Mr. Lim driving. He was behind/stalking/following (argh, whatever you wanna say) the van, mind you. I tried my shot at taking a sad/depressed/suicidal picture, which most of you label as 'emo', with the help of Mal, June and Zhi Lynn.

Basketball MSSD 2007

Hello fellow readers, today was the first match of the Basketball Girls U-15 MSSD. It's my very first MSSD competition too, i've never participated for any thing related to sports except running events for sports day last year.

Puan Aslamiah, our teacher incharge of us, got scolded by Mr. Nathan due to we skipped three periods. Cause she told us to prepare at 9.30, when the van only reaches at 11. So anyways, when we board the bus, there were not enough seats, so I was the lucky one to sit on the floor, next to the door. On the way there, we sang Sexyback. Hilarious.

Well, our match was with Taman Petaling and we lost terribly. The score was SriKL, 10; TP, 41. To me, i think it was a good effort since we only trained for two weeks and trained as a team for two days. Well so much for Mandy being our water girl. She didn't even do anything except watch and laughed at me.

After the match, we watched the U-18 girls play. They were really good. When we went back, in the van, we started singing It Ends Tonight. It's sounded like we were in a funeral van and someone died. When we reached school, we had lunch and we practiced till school was over. Our next match is on Monday but sadly win or lose, we can't go to the next round cause we lost this match. Still, i hope we win so that we can prove to ourselves we can do it. If not, it's Simple Plan's Perfect for us.

It was a tiring day, so i'd better sign off. Expect an update this Saturday, cause there'll be a band festival.

House Elections

Hello fellow readers, today SMSKL had their house elections and me being in Yellow house had our 'meeting' at the canteen. We get to sit on chairs this time! Anyways, every year, during the second week, we would have a house meeting to elect the usuals, captains, vice-captains, etc.

So this year, our Captain is Theng Seng and our Vice-Captain is Yi Feng. They bloody got me for Form 3 Representative. Damn it! I'll get you people back! I mean it, Livia, Sheryl, Crystal and Charmaine. I was pretty much electing everyone, when they save the best for last. They elected me and I stupidly won by one vote against Samuel. One! Why me?! Live with it eh?

Shevie wants me to sprint for Class 1, when i'm in Class 2. She probably wants me to die at such a young age. I can't sprint, i'm not good in sprinting, nor long distance. She still insists and she said she's seen me run. She must've gone cuckoo and she starts hallucinating and imagining things. Anyways, I'm off to eat. Till next time.

Basketball training?

Hello people, i'm here to rant again. Anyways, since I wanted to be active, I signed up for a certain sport last year and now I get to play it. So I just wanted to tell you that i'm in my school's under fifteen (u-15) basketball team and guess what?

Basketball MSSD is in two weeks time and we're only starting to train today.

We are in need of people to join because so far, those who gave their names to Puan Aslamiah, our teacher in charge, last year ended up not interested in playing. Is there such thing? You sign up for something, then in the end you don't want to be in that something. I despise people like that, they're wasting the time of others.

So anyways, we trained lay ups today. Everyone can't do the damn lay up except for Ruwen. Ruwen is a professional player, she may be short but looks can be deceiving. I'm thinking the captain position would most likely be in her hands, she's amazing and she's teaching us one by one how to do the lay ups correctly. Hopefully we get to learn faster and we can improve ourselves.

It's a boring post, but just wanted to let myself know when we started training. One day when I look back at this event it'll bring back memories. So looks like i'm going off, and i'm thinking most of the upcoming posts would be about basketball training too, so thanks for hearing my rants.

Sprained.

Hey peeps! It's only the first week and as the title says it, i've already sprained my finger. Good or bad, I dunno. I can't bend it and it's like swollen and it's multi-coloured.

You can see the swollen-ess of the finger. Move it a lil and yeowch!

I asked different people, and they say a different colour. There's blue, green, purple, yellow, pink, brown and mixtures of colours. Anyways, since I can hardly move my finger, I think I can't blog very often due to the pain.

Here's a clearer picture. I just noticed that both my little fingers are slunted.

Wondering how I got it sprained? Well, it's a Friday and I usually stay back, so I was playing basketball with Ruwen and Diyana. Ruwen was saying that I can't dribble and I know I can't, and she said people can easily steal the ball from me. While I was bouncing the damned ball, she stoled it but in a way pushed the ball towards my fourth/ring finger and there was this loud 'crack'-liked sound, and I mean really loud.

I thought it was broken or something, so I tried hitting it on the wall and bending my finger and doing all sorts of stupid things. Seems that it wasn't broken, but it was sprained and it really hurts. I hope my finger can heal quickly. I'd better go, my finger is killing me.
